  • Escape Game on Transhumanism and Society: play, collaborate and shape the society of the future
    Synopsis:
The year is 877 in the new era (2069 in the old era), and there are 78 billion people on Earth. Humanity finds itself forced to radically change its social model to ensure its survival and that of the other living species. But, how should we radically change our ways of life? Should we transform human biology dramatically to adapt it to the environmental conditions that are coming? Or, greatly increase the funding policies for research and experimentation in genetic engineering and mind-uploading? Or, prepare a small part of humanity to colonize new planets?...
You form the High Council of the World Parliamentary Assembly, charged with deciding these difficult issues. In order to immerse yourself in the most impartial conditions, you board Dilemma, the technological flagship of the government fleet piloted by ETHiA, an artificial intelligence, destined for the planet EA-7446. But an incident occurs while the shuttle is landing: a solar explosion hits Dilemma with full force, causing major damage. The oxygen system has failed, giving you only 45 minutes to evacuate the ship and reach the space base on EA-7446. Unfortunately, the airlock remains sealed despite your best efforts. At this moment, the voice of ETHiA is heard: "Dear High Council members, your mission is to make the final decisions on the new policies for the World Parliamentary Assembly. You can leave Dilemma only when you have completed this task." Your rescue is contingent upon the completion of this mission, which is vital for the survival of humanity. You have to take action; your life depends on it!
As if the situation was not difficult enough, you notice that all the security measures against Space Hacking were activated by the Assembly before your departure: the major societal issues on which you must decide were encrypted and entrusted to ETHiA, which can only transmit them after receiving confirmation codes. Each code gives access to a question determining the future of humanity. Until you answer all of the questions, ETHiA will not give you access to the space base. Good luck!
    Game principle:
An escape game is an immersive, physical, intellectual and collaborative adventure game in which teams of 3 or 4 players solve a series of riddles using clues, hints and strategy to complete the objectives at hand. Players are given a set time limit to unveil the secret plot which is hidden within the rooms. Escape games (also called "escape rooms") are inspired by "escape-the-room" - style video games. Games are set in a variety of fictional locations, such as prison cells, dungeons and space stations, and usually the various riddles themselves follow the theme of the room. Life-sized escape games became popular in North America, Europe and East Asia in the 2010s.
